Lashing points and lashing rings in trucks and trailers

Securing cargo is one of the most important techniques for load securing. The proper use of lashing materials such as tensioning straps, ratchet straps, and lashings, as well as the availability of anchor points like lashing rings or lashing cups, are essential details. Securing the load prevents it from slipping, rolling around, or even falling off the load carrier (truck, trailer, container), thereby endangering the safety of the vehicle on the road and other road users. Unsecured or improperly secured cargo, for example, due to an insufficient number of lashing points in the trailer or van, is not only dangerous. In the event of an accident or a traffic stop, inadequate load securing can also have legal consequences for drivers, loading personnel, and shippers, as it is legally mandatory according to Section 22 of the Road Traffic Regulations and other rules and regulations.

Older commercial vehicles and trailers are often equipped with only a few lashing points and lashing rings, which makes securing the load more difficult, as the distances required for securing the load are often very long. However, the general rule is that the shorter the lashed distance, the more secure the lashing. In principle, any truck or car trailer or van can be retrofitted with lashing points, such as lashing rings and lashing rings, for effective load securing.

Retrofitting trailers, vans and semi-trailers with lashing points: a job for professionals.

Retrofitting a car trailer, transport vehicle, or semi-trailer with lashing points must be carried out professionally and in accordance with legal requirements. Simply bolting the lashing rings, lashing eyes, or airline tracks to the loading platform, vehicle wall, or vehicle ceiling is insufficient. Lashing boxes and lashing rings are usually bolted to the vehicle floor, and often the floor of the loading platform in vans or trailers is already equipped with 10 mm threaded holes for this purpose. If this is not the case, the lashing rings or lashing eyes must be bolted to a backing plate that rests against the load-bearing parts of the body to ensure maximum tensile strength. To mount the backing plate, the vehicle floor must be drilled through, and it is recommended that the retrofit be carried out by a specialist workshop.

Our lashing rings, lashing eyes and lashing boxes for the professional securing of your cargo

In our online shop you will find various types of lashing rings, lashing boxes, lashing eyes, lashing rails, fittings and hardware, lashing brackets, and warning signs for lashing points in trucks, transport vehicles, or car trailers. These products naturally comply with all current legal regulations and standards and are made from high-quality and durable materials.

Lashing rings, lashing boxes and lashing straps in the online shop

Our lashing rings are available in raw or galvanized steel. The rings are recessed into the vehicle floor and, depending on the model, can withstand direct tensile loads of up to 2500 daN. The raw steel versions, which are welded to the vehicle floor, are designed for a higher breaking load than the galvanized steel versions, which are bolted to the floor. The lashing rings are equipped with eyelets or rings and some feature a return spring. Our weldable or bolted lashing rings with lashing eyes guarantee maximum safety and stability when securing your cargo. The practical lashing straps are fastened according to DIN 603 - M12 using pan head screws, rivets, or countersunk screws and are made of galvanized steel.

The advantages of our lashing rings, lashing straps, lashing eyes and lashing boxes at a glance:

- offer high stability and can withstand loads of up to 2500 daN
- are securely bolted or welded to the floor of the vehicle
- Versions with lashing rings for immediate use in load securing

Fittings and hardware as anchor points

Our fittings and hardware are available for airline tracks as well as for bolting to the floor, side walls, and ceiling of vans, car trailers, and semi-trailers. This accessory for use with lashing equipment is available in numerous versions in our shop. Both double-stud fittings and end fittings, with or without lashing rings, can be ordered online in cost-effective sets of 5 or 10. The double-stud fittings have a direct tensile strength of up to 2,500 daN and a maximum breaking strength of 5,000 daN. The end fittings have a tensile strength of 500 daN and a breaking strength of 1,000 daN. In addition, our online shop offers single-stud fittings for both track installation and retrofitting in vehicles, trailers, or semi-trailers. The latter are equipped with a black anodized, bolt-on lashing plate. Naturally, we also carry practical hooks, for example for transporting and securing buckets or other tools. All our fittings fully comply with DIN EN 12195-2.

The advantages of our fittings and hardware:

- numerous versions for airline rails or screwing into the load carrier
- High load capacity up to 2,500 daN
- High breaking load up to 5,000 daN

Airline rails as lashing rails

Airline rails are the ideal accessory for your truck (box truck, tarpaulin truck, trailer, or commercial vehicle) if it has too few lashing points or you need more flexibility when loading your cargo. The lashing rails can be easily bolted to the floor, wall, or ceiling of the vehicle, creating numerous new lashing points. In combination with our double-stud fittings or quattro stud fittings with rings, load capacities of up to 1000 daN can be achieved for direct or tie-down lashing. The rails are available online in various profiles (half-round, flat, recessed, and square) and lengths. They are made of high-quality aluminum and add minimal weight to your vehicle or load carrier. By using additional locking bars or fittings, you get a load securing aid that guarantees high safety during transport, all at a sensationally low price. In our online shop, we also offer pre-configured lashing straps equipped with single or double stud fittings and ratchet mechanisms. Further details can be found in the technical data on the product pages.

The advantages of our airline rail lines at a glance

- offer more flexibility and security in cargo securing
- Easy installation in commercial vehicles thanks to screw connections
- low weight
- Load capacities up to 1000 daN
- various profiles and types of lashing rails for numerous applications
- low price compared to other lashing point solutions

Warning signs for lashing points in the load carrier

An important accessory when installing lashing points, lashing rings, or lashing recesses in commercial vehicles are lashing point indicators that show the location of the lashing points. This significantly simplifies the loading process for personnel. It's a simple step that saves both time and money. For easy and durable application, the lashing point indicators are made of self-adhesive film. This allows them to be easily removed or replaced if necessary.
