Gas cylinder holder in the load securing system - transport gas cylinders quickly and safely

Gas cylinder holder
The transport of gas cylinders is generally classified as the transport of hazardous materials. Every year, numerous tragic accidents, some with serious consequences, occur on European roads because hazardous goods were poorly secured or not properly sealed. International studies show that employees of smaller craft businesses, in particular, sometimes handle hazardous materials carelessly. Often, a gas cylinder is simply placed on the loading platform without being adequately secured. This is not only prohibited by traffic regulations, but this behavior also poses a significant risk to life and limb! Prevent this by training your employees and installing a gas cylinder holder in your van or trailer. These holders also provide valuable safety features when camping in motorhomes and caravans.

Transport of gas cylinders: regulations and rules
Although the transport of gas-filled cylinders is subject to the Road Traffic Regulations, it is not described or regulated in detail within them. Regulations concerning this transport, however, can be found in the Dangerous Goods Transport Act, more precisely in the Dangerous Goods Ordinance for Road, Rail and Inland Waterway Transport (GGVSEB). This ordinance refers to the requirements for securing dangerous goods in relation to the "European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road" (ADR), specifically in Chapter 7.5.7.1. This states: "Packages containing dangerous goods and unpackaged dangerous articles must be secured by suitable means capable of restraining the goods in the vehicle, wagon, or container (e.g., fastening straps, sliding partitions, adjustable supports) in such a way as to prevent any movement during transport that could alter the orientation of the packages or cause damage to them." Failure to comply with these regulations can result in fines of up to €800 during a police check. The loading personnel must separately observe the requirements of the accident prevention regulations.
Our brackets save time and money
There are two options for transporting gas cylinders: First, secure them with a suitable base to prevent slipping, such as a non-slip mat or on a pallet. Then, secure the load with tie-down straps or ratchet straps. It's crucial to maintain a minimum distance from the vehicle walls and other hazardous materials. Sounds labor-intensive and expensive? Then our gas cylinder holder is the perfect solution! Gas cylinder holders are either mounted on the vehicle wall or placed on the vehicle floor and secured with tie-down straps. We offer different types of holders for 5 kg or 11 kg propane and butane cylinders, as well as those for 20 kg and 50 kg cylinders. Our shop offers a variety of models for numerous applications, including transport and logistics, construction and trades, and even camping.
Gas cylinder holder as wall mount
Once installed, it's always ready for use. The wall-mounted gas cylinder holder offers numerous advantages. It's installed once, eliminating the need for additional securing measures like tie-down straps. Our Type 05/11 gas cylinder holder secures both 5 kg and 11 kg propane and butane cylinders, is quick to mount on vertical, smooth surfaces, and is foldable. It's particularly suitable for trucks, vans, flatbed trucks, motorhomes, containers, and construction trailers. Securing the cylinder is incredibly easy: simply lift the ring, position the cylinder, and then replace the ring. This gas cylinder holder is TÜV-certified and complies with all regulations governing the transport of hazardous materials. Several professional associations recommend this wall mount. Our universal model is also screwed to vertical, smooth surfaces of the transport vehicle and is suitable for transporting all gas cylinders upright. Securing it is equally simple: just place the cylinder against the holder and tighten it using the retaining strap and buckle. Construction companies, landscapers, and tradespeople frequently use this version.
The mounting hardware is included in the scope of delivery for both versions.
The version with a lashing rail secures several bottles simultaneously, depending on their size, and is firmly attached to flat surfaces in the transport vehicle using screws. It consists of two parts: the slotted combination rail for anchor rail fittings and the lashing strap with slotted lashing fitting. The rail is made of 2.8 mm thick, galvanized steel and is therefore effectively protected against corrosion. It is 500 mm long, 133 mm wide, and 12 mm high. The hole spacing is 50 mm and the hole diameter is 25 mm. The lashing strap is 2 meters long and 35 mm wide. The high-quality PES fabric complies with the European DIN standard EN 12195-2 and is extremely tear-resistant with low elongation. Polyester also absorbs little moisture, is weather-resistant, and dimensionally stable. The ratchet mechanism has a sewn-in protective pad for sensitive surfaces. The ratchet strap is also available separately as a spare part in our shop.
Gas cylinder holder for horizontal transport
Type 20/50 secures 20 kg and 50 kg gas cylinders in a variable holding device. No bolting is required; a special rubber base holds them firmly to the base of the transport carrier. If necessary, additional securing can be achieved by lashing them down. Type 00/10 is identical in construction and suitable for 10 kg cylinders. Type 22/33 is suitable for securing 22 kg and 33 kg propane cylinders horizontally. Again, no bolting is necessary, and additional securing with lashing straps is possible. These gas cylinder holders are very popular with landscapers, construction companies, tradespeople, and municipal services, who use them for their commercial vehicles.
Canister holder for 20 liter steel canisters
According to the German Dangerous Goods Transport Act (GGBefG), chemicals transported by truck, van, car, or rail are classified as dangerous goods. Whether gasoline, acetone, or certain acids, all these substances can pose a danger to people and the environment if they leak uncontrollably. The vehicle owner is held responsible for the consequences of inadequate load securing. Even small quantities of dangerous goods that fall under the small quantity exemption, for example, for construction and trade businesses, must be secured during transport. For instance, canisters may only shift their position relative to the vehicle body and other transported items minimally. The simplest solution is our canister holder for 20-liter steel canisters. It is screwed onto flat, smooth vehicle surfaces and is foldable. The bracket is lifted, the canister is placed against the holder, and the bracket is then closed.
