Lashing chains for load securing
Lashing chains are ideally suited for securing particularly heavy loads. They offer high load-bearing capacity and are manufactured according to DIN EN 12195-3, grade 8, from round steel chains. These chains can secure loads of up to 10,000 daN. They are also resistant to aggressive substances such as chemicals and oil.

Load securing with lashing chains in lashing technology
When particularly heavy loads need to be secured in a truck, lashing chains are ideally suited for load securing , as they allow for higher tensile strength. Lashing chains, also called tie-down chains, have a high load-bearing capacity and are manufactured according to DIN EN 12195-3 in grade 8 from round steel chains.
Lashing chains are particularly robust
These chains allow you to secure loads with a tensile strength of up to 10,000 daN. Furthermore, they are largely resistant to aggressive substances such as chemicals and oil. Lashing chains are particularly common when transporting trucks, excavators, or machine parts on low-loaders. Similar to lashing straps, lashing chains are available in various lengths and with different tensile strengths.
Lashing chains are more durable than lashing straps.
In situations where tension straps or lashing straps struggle, heavy-duty chains excel. They are largely unaffected by aggressive substances such as chemicals, oil, or heavy soiling and demonstrate remarkable resistance. Especially when dealing with tensile forces of up to 10,000 daN, lashing chains are the preferred method for load securing, for example on low-loaders, and should therefore always be readily available.
Sufficient lashing chains for heavy load transport
Companies lacking lashing chains face potential time constraints when securing heavy loads is urgently needed, as these chains are an extremely important component of load securing in heavy transport. As a forward-thinking business owner, you should therefore plan ahead and equip your operations not only with ratchet straps but also with suitable lashing chains featuring ratchet tensioners. This ensures that even heavy goods can be optimally secured and loaded.
Lashing chains and lifting chains in proven LasiProfi quality
Our lashing chains and lifting chains are exceptionally robust lashing devices that meet the highest quality standards and are characterized by extreme load-bearing capacity. The chain's strength is crucial for its lashing capacity.
Lashing capacity and thickness of lashing chains
Depending on their load-bearing capacity, the chain thickness of the lashing chains you'll find in our online shop varies. Unlike a ratchet lashing strap, the lashing chain is not equipped with a ratchet mechanism, but rather with a ratchet tensioner, also known as a ratchet tensioner.
- The chain thickness of a one-piece lashing chain with a permissible lashing force of 6300 daN is 10 millimeters.
- A lashing chain with a lashing force of 10,000 daN has a chain thickness of 13 mm.
Quality classes of lashing chains
Naturally, our lifting chains, lashing chains, and heavy-duty chains are manufactured according to DIN EN 12195-3 and lashing chain quality class 8, ensuring that all safety requirements are met. Our lashing chains also bear the H-stamp required by the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV).
Function and features of one-piece and two-piece lashing chains for low loaders and trucks
Our online shop offers one-piece and two-piece lashing chains and lifting chains with ratchet tensioners. Both types of lashing chains have in common a shortening hook at each end. This hook allows you to shorten the chain to your desired length.
- One-piece chains for load securing are firmly connected to the chain with a ratchet load tensioner.
- In two-part lashing chains, both the ratchet tensioner and the chain each constitute a separate element.
Lashing chains in different lengths
Our lashing chains are available in our shop in lengths of 3.0 and 3.5 meters. We also offer chains with various diameters, which significantly influence the tensioning force of the chain. With the ratchet tensioner and shortening hook, you can always secure your load optimally and correctly and prepare it for transport.
- Lashing chains 6 mm
- Lashing chains 8 mm
- Lashing chains 10 mm
- Lashing chains 13 mm
The steel chains are painted black, while the ratchet tensioner and end fittings are painted red.
Lashing chains for transport by truck, ship, plane, rail
Our lashing chains and heavy-duty chains are particularly well-suited for securing heavy goods on trucks, low loaders, and vans, but can of course also be used for rail, sea, and air transport. They thus offer maximum flexibility in load securing.
