Airline rails originally come from the cargo aviation industry, where they are used for securing cargo and attaching seats – hence the name. Airline rails are characterized by their very low weight and high lashing point strength. They can be combined with a wide variety of locking bars , end fittings, and lashing straps , making them extremely versatile.

Airline rails and systems offer a flexible and robust solution for retrofitting lashing points (anchor points) for load securing in trucks, trailers, vans, car trailers, caravans, and motorhomes. The rails can be quickly and easily screwed, riveted, or glued to the vehicle walls, floor, or ceiling. Airline rails create lashing points in your vehicle that can be quickly and flexibly adapted to the requirements of your cargo, such as size, shape, and weight. Securing cargo is significantly simplified, and loading and load securing are noticeably accelerated. This affordable accessory for all types of transport vehicles is available in various versions in our online shop, along with compatible fittings. You can choose between single or double stud fittings, with hooks, or as a quad airline end fitting for special load securing measures.

Airline tracks and airline track systems: many advantages, low costs

Airline rails, also known as lashing rails, are the perfect accessory for retrofitting lashing points in vehicles. Lashing rails allow you to create lashing points exactly where they are needed in the vehicle. According to Section 22 of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), the driver bears primary responsibility for proper load securing. Cargo must be stowed in the vehicle in such a way that it does not slip, roll, or even fall out during the journey. In the event of evasive maneuvers or sudden braking, poorly secured cargo can significantly impair the vehicle's balance and become a hazard on the road. European standards (DIN EN), guidelines (VDI 2700), and regulations (e.g., DGUV 3 "Inspection Label") describe guidelines for proper load securing. An important factor in load securing in a vehicle is the presence of anchor points or lashing points to which, for example, lashing straps or ratchet straps can be attached. However, if the lashing points installed in the vehicle are several meters apart, or if there are no lashing points at all, additional equipment with airline rails is recommended.

The installation of airline tracks

Airline lashing rails are screwed, riveted, or glued into the vehicle. Generally, the necessary high lashing forces can be achieved with all installation methods. Even glued airline rails sometimes hold better than the screwed-in version. The fittings used must meet the permissible lashing forces for your load and the load securing techniques employed. Therefore, always compare the specified load limits of the rails and fittings with the requirements of your load.

In accordance with DIN EN 573-3:2013-12, our airline rails are also suitable for food transport. Airline rails can be used as lashing points with airline fittings that comply with ISO 27955, ISO 27956 or EN 12640.

Aluminum airline rails for cargo securing in the online shop

To prevent a significant increase in vehicle weight, airline tracks are primarily made of aluminum. This metal is lightweight and flexible, yet break-resistant and highly durable. Fittings are available in our online shop in various shapes for different lashing methods. These include, for example, tie-down lashing and direct lashing. Our high-quality manufacturing and the materials used guarantee that both the lashing tracks and the airline fittings meet the highest standards.

Airline rail-Light with recessed, half-round, square and flat profiles

These exceptionally lightweight airline tracks with recessed profiles are ideal for installation in vehicle floors, while the flat-profile versions are also suitable for side walls. They are the first choice for retrofitting in vans, box bodies, transporters, motorhomes, and caravans. The tracks feature a standardized hole pattern and, depending on the version, are pre-drilled.

In conjunction with single stud or automotive fittings, the standard airline track can achieve preload forces of up to 500 daN (STF), and up to 950 daN with double stud or quattro stud fittings. It is also suitable for load securing with locking bars. These airline tracks are available in lengths of 1 to 3 meters and can be ordered individually from our shop.

When installing the airline tracks, ensure sufficient force is transferred to the substructure, maintaining a fastening distance of 75 mm with a 25 mm grid. To achieve the specified load capacities, the tracks should be fastened with M5 screws of grade 10.9. The lashing tracks can also be mounted with adhesive or rivets, but this will affect their load-bearing capacity.

Lasiprofi airline rails

These lightweight aluminum airline tracks/lashing rails are ideal for securing cargo in cars, trailers, and vans, and their thin profile allows for flexible use. They can be attached with adhesive tape, rivets, or screws (M5). Available in lengths from 1 to 3 meters and in the following versions.

- Insert profile as a floor profile for stake pockets in truck trailers,
- Flat profile for side walls and base plate,
- Square with wings at the top or bottom
- semi-circular profile for vehicle wall, floor or vehicle ceiling,
