Dunnage bags - for securing and cushioning the load

Positive locking within a load or transport unit is extremely important. Dunnage bags contribute significantly to this because they are inserted into cavities and gaps. This prevents goods from shifting and keeps your load from moving in the first place. They are therefore indispensable in load securing because they withstand extreme loads, are universally and quickly applicable, and are also cost-effective. They also help reduce transport risks and prevent accidents and problems during police and BAG (Federal Office for Goods Transport) inspections. Dunnage bags are also known as airbags, container bags, or big bags.

Dunnage bags are placed between pallets, container walls, bins, or canisters. They prevent cargo from shifting, tipping, or falling over during transport. They cushion impacts and reduce pressure between the pallets and the container wall. The bag is placed in the gap or cavity and inflated within seconds using an air compressor; this can also be done at tire pressure testing stations. They are available in single-layer versions for exports or lighter loads, or in multi-layer versions for heavier loads and shuttle services. The outer layer ensures that the air does not escape during transport, and they are also resistant to any moisture that may occur. They are available as disposable products, for example, for export, as they are easily disposed of, or as reusable products. In the latter case, the air is released from the dunnage bag via a release valve, allowing it to be reused up to fifty times.
