Anti-slip pad for fork tines

Magnetic anti-slip mat for forklift tines available in the online shop
Anti-slip mats for forklift tines prevent cargo being transported by forklift from slipping off the tines, for example, due to vibrations. The anti-slip pads increase the coefficient of friction and ensure a firm grip on the tines. Therefore, anti-slip pads for forklift tines are ideal protection against damage to cargo during forklift transport. The use of anti-slip pads is particularly recommended for cargo with sensitive surfaces.

The material of our anti-slip pad for fork tines
The material and workmanship of these magnetic anti-slip mats are identical to our premium anti-slip mats for trucks, trailers, and containers. However, this version features a magnetic base, allowing for quick and easy attachment to the forklift tines. This ensures fast installation and residue-free removal. The magnetic anti-slip mat is designed to fit standard forklift tine dimensions, covering a wide range of common forklift models. Measure the length and width of your forklift's tines.
The black magnetic anti-slip pads for forklift tines are made of PU-bonded rubber granules and have a magnetic underside. The material quality of the pads is specified by VDI Guideline 2700 from the VDI Society for Materials Handling, Material Flow and Logistics (VDI-FML). This guideline defines the requirements for anti-slip mats. Sufficient quality is defined as a tensile strength of at least 0.6 N/mm² (Newtons per square millimeter). Furthermore, VDI Guideline 2700 prescribes an elongation at break of at least 60%. The high quality requirements for anti-slip mats can only be met with a high proportion of binder. The PU binder is one of the most expensive components in the manufacturing process. Cheaper mats can only be produced by using less binder. However, this results in the granules fraying and decomposing under load. Consequently, friction is reduced rather than increased – a significant risk to the safety of cargo and personnel.
Our magnetic anti-slip pad for fork tines is characterized by:
- high robustness and load-bearing capacity
- long lifespan
- high abrasion resistance
- Secure hold on all magnetic surfaces
- inexpensive due to multiple uses
Load limits and coefficients of sliding friction of the mats
Extensive testing and certification have shown that our anti-slip mats significantly exceed the minimum coefficients of friction of 0.6 N/mm² specified in Sheet 15 of the VDI 2700 guideline. However, we do not specify maximum values for our anti-slip mats, as these are highly dependent on the friction partners, temperature, the substrate to which they are attached, and proper use during transport. Our service team has the achievable coefficients of friction for common material pairings. Please contact us for further information; we will gladly determine these values for less common material pairings as well.
Anti-slip materials (ASM) such as anti-slip mats must be tested by an independent institute and may then be used until they reach the end of their service life. In addition, our anti-slip mats were tested in a dynamic driving test under paper coils, Euro pallets, or wire mesh containers and certified by the Fraunhofer Institute and the TUL-LOG Technology Center Dresden. These tests showed that our anti-slip mats may be used and are suitable as securing devices according to VDI 2700, Sheet 9.
The use of the magnetic anti-slip mat
For a secure hold on the forklift tines, we recommend cleaning the tine surface beforehand. In particular, any oily or sandy residue must be removed. The magnetic anti-slip pad is placed on the top of the tine. Thanks to its magnetic underside, lifting can begin immediately. The forklift tine anti-slip pad can be removed completely without leaving any residue on the tines. Please note that the maximum load per anti-slip pad is 13 tons and a density of 10.0 kg/cm².
