Extensive testing by the Fraunhofer Institute, DEKRA, and the Dresden Technology Center has demonstrated that our non-slip mats can increase the coefficient of friction to as low as 0.7 µm, depending on the surface. Both the anti-slip mats and the backing paper are made from 100% renewable and recyclable materials. The backing material is corrugated cardboard, and the double-sided coating consists of a novel bio-based surface produced using protein technology. The use of renewable raw materials in the production of the bio-based anti-slip mat also means that the mats are 100% biodegradable. The durability of the floor mat can be guaranteed for 12 months when stored at room temperature and away from direct sunlight. Naturally, our bio-based protective mat complies with all requirements of VDI Guideline 2700ff.

Excellent properties and individual cuts

In the aforementioned tests, in addition to its slip-resistant properties, our robust underlay mats were confirmed to possess broad chemical resistance and are resistant to water, alkalis, acids, and aliphatic hydrocarbons. Furthermore, their thermal stability between -20 and +100 degrees Celsius was demonstrated. The surface of the non-slip mat is odorless and colorless in the standard version, but can be printed upon request. We supply our bio-based anti-slip mat in standard sizes from 1200 to 800 x 800 to 150 millimeters, as well as in custom sizes according to our customers' specifications. Depending on the application and load, the anti-slip mat is available in thicknesses from 1.9 to 3.4 millimeters and various weights.

According to the German Road Traffic Regulations, the guidelines of the Association of German Engineers (VDI), and the regulations of the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV), cargo on a freight carrier must be secured in such a way that it cannot tip over, slip, fall over, or even fall off. The smooth surfaces of these goods, without the use of a non-slip mat, pose a risk of slippage and thus destabilization of the load. The degree of micro-interlocking of the surfaces, often incorrectly referred to as the coefficient of sliding friction, is crucial for the slippage characteristic. When metals are transported on top of each other, this value is, for example, 0.2 µ; a standard anti-slip mat increases the coefficient of friction to 0.6 µ, with the highest value being 1.0.
