We explain the structure and end fittings of the tensioning strap and provide lashing strap instructions on how to thread your tension belts, fasten and correctly apply the tension belts, and release the tension belt.

Tension strap construction: tensioning elements, end fittings – which tension strap is best for me?

A two-part tensioning strap consists of a loose end and a fixed end. Both parts must have a label for identification and accurate traceability. In addition, both parts of the lashing strap have an end fitting that can be freely selected.

There are various tensioning elements: The pressure ratchet or short lever ratchet is the most commonly used type of ratchet. They must produce an STF value (standard tension force) of between 250 and 350 daN. However, this means that considerably more force is required to use the pressure ratchet than the ERGO long-lever ratchet, which has an STF value of 500 daN. In addition, the long-lever ratchet is moved in the direction of the fixed end, whereas the pressure ratchet is moved in the direction of the loose end. This technology makes the ERGO long-lever ratchet much more back-friendly than the pressure ratchet. Clamp locks are clamped in place and are therefore only suitable for small weights.

Accessories for tension straps

Accessories for tensioning straps make securing loads much easier. Preload force measuring devices effectively determine the preload force achieved on each tensioned lashing strap. A SpanngurtFix is permanently attached to a lashing strap and can be retrofitted quickly and easily. This allows the lashing strap to be attached to the goods much more quickly and ensures that it is always neatly wound up.

General information on the use of lashing straps:

Only trained persons may use a lashing strap.
They must not be used for lifting loads from heavy loads be used for lifting heavy loads.

Open the ratchet lever and bring the slot of the empty winding drum into the threading position for the webbing. a9> webbing into.
