Transport safety, also known as transport security, refers to load distribution (ideally using a load distribution plan = LDP), packaging, the formation of loading units and load securing.
Transport safety is only guaranteed if the cargo is packaged or designed in such a way that it can be transported due to its packaging. If this is not possible, several small items of cargo must be loaded into a separate container (e.g. transport boxes, mesh boxes, collies).
The transport safety of other cargoes must not be restricted.
The packaging must meet the requirements throughout the entire logistics chain. In addition, the packaging must ensure that the quality of the load is not impaired.
