The securing force FS is the force that must be absorbed either by the vehicle superstructure or by the load securing equipment:
In the direction of travel:
FS = 0.8 FG - FR
To the sides and rear:
FS= 0.5 FG - FR
Example:
A load with a mass of 2,000 kg is to be transported by.
The coefficient of friction between the load and the loading area is µ = 0.4
FG = 2,000 kg * 10 m/s² = 20,000 N or 2,000 daN
FR = 2,000 daN * 0.4 = 800 daN
Thus the braking force in the direction of travel
FS = 0.8 × 2,000 daN – 800 daN = 800 daN
These 800 daN must be absorbed either by the front wall (form fit) or the load securing devices.
