Especially during the cold season, wet truck roofs quickly turn into frozen ice and become deadly projectiles when the vehicle is in motion. Numerous accident scenarios prove this year after year. If a truck loses pieces of ice from its roof or loading area while driving, this can lead to obstructions, accidents and even fatalities. Therefore, especially in the winter season, care must be taken to ensure that truck roofs are free of ice. If the driver responsible fails to comply with the traffic safety obligation, this can lead to warnings, fines, monetary penalties and imprisonment under the Administrative Offences Act, the Road Traffic Regulations and the Criminal Code.
