Innovative disinfection and long-lasting virus protection

The GRIPS® Anti-Germ Sealing Cloth seals surfaces using innovative technology and a new type of liquid for permanent disinfection. The set consists of two cloths: the first is used to clean dust, dirt and grease from the surface to be sealed, while the second cloth is impregnated with a disinfectant with antiviral and antibacterial properties. It performs the following functions:

• Permanently disinfected thanks to durable anti-germ coating
• The surface tension of the coating creates a protective shield, preventing over 80 per cent of viruses and bacteria from adhering to it in the event of contamination.

The EUROVIR® laboratory confirmed the effectiveness of Antikeim wipes against viruses such as coronavirus and bacteria, as well as multi-resistant germs. It has been registered as an occupational safety product by the manufacturer with the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health.

Easy to use and long-lasting protection

First, use the cleaning cloth to remove dirt, dust and grease from the surface to be disinfected. Then wipe the surface with the sealing cloth. The transparent, thin-layer coating takes 20–30 minutes to dry. The coating can be applied to a wide range of materials such as varnishes, paints, plastics and metals without any special surface treatment. Particularly suitable for:

GRIPS® anti-germ film for flexible and long-lasting surface disinfection

This disinfectant film not only reliably disinfects shopping baskets and trolleys, it is also ideal for covering frequently used contact surfaces such as tables, sales and refrigerated counters, in reception and medical areas, on counters, handles, devices or machine controls, for example in industrial production. This hygiene aid is also suitable for disinfection in offices, on escalators, fitness equipment or trays in the catering industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. There is no need for time-consuming disinfection by hand or in a mobile washing line.

Surface disinfection with GRIPS® anti-germ film

Applying the film is extremely quick and easy: simply peel off the protective film and attach the transparent anti-germ film to the handle of a shopping trolley, for example. The film adheres even to uneven surfaces. It is also pressure-resistant, scratch-resistant and heat-resistant up to 90 °C, making it effective for up to one year.

Antiviral and antibacterial protection

The COVID-19 virus has a viral envelope that can be destroyed by disinfectants such as alcohol or ethanol, although soap and water are usually sufficient for disinfection. However, this method only provides short-term hygiene, and contact with contaminated food, for example, can result in renewed contamination of a door handle. The protection offered by this film goes beyond this, as it is coated with an anti-germ layer less than 10 micrometres thick. The disinfectant film for surface disinfection seals unevenness, creating a surface structure that is too smooth for pathogens to adhere to. Studies conducted by the EUROVIR® hygiene laboratory have proven that the anti-germ film effectively disinfects surfaces such as door handles and renders 99.98% of all viruses, including Covid-19 and influenza, as well as bacteria (including multi-resistant germs) harmless within two hours. The antibacterial effect is based primarily on the following properties:

• Due to surface tension, a protective shield with high pore density is created, to which around 80% of all viruses and bacteria cannot adhere.
• an antiviral and antibacterial anti-germ layer less than 10 micrometres thick.

Durability and testing of film effectiveness

The protective effect of the film for surface disinfection lasts for about one year. A functional test is simple: if the top of the protective film feels rough, it must be replaced immediately. The extent to which the self-disinfecting surface tension is intact can be checked by wetting the protective film. If drops remain on it, the tension is intact. The tightness of the pores is checked with a permanent marker. If the ink can be removed without residue using an alcohol-soaked cloth, then the pores are also intact.

Cleaning the film surface

As with all other surfaces, dirt, grease, oils and other substances adhere to the anti-germ film. With our film, the costly cleaning of shopping trolley chains in a mobile car wash or washing facility is a thing of the past. Simply soak a cloth in an alcohol-based disinfectant and wipe the surface regularly to keep it clean and virtually sterile.
